Mr. Ken Thongpila, Australia

Ken is an award-winning photographer featured in diving magazines and websites. In September 2011 Ken created the Underwater Macro Photographers (UWMP) Facebook Group which quickly became popular with the underwater photography community and has more than 41,000 members from all over the world. The aim of the group is "sharing, learning and inspiring each other".
Mr. Mike Bartick, USA

Mike is a Marine Wildlife Photographer, Writer and Photo-Pro. He has insatiable love for finding unique marine life, observing and photographing its behavior and sharing his insight and knowledge with others. His curiosity and drive for first-hand experience has leaded him across the globe in search of that special critter encounter. Mike is widely published with work appearing monthly in international magazines, websites and internet publications. He also hosts photo clinics seminars concentrating on the different aspects of Underwater Photography and the natural history of South East Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
Mrs. Beth Barklage Watson, USA

Photography and scuba diving are Beth’s passions. Adoring the ocean and everything it has to offer, she focuses on capturing images that are unique, creative and thought-provoking. Through her imagery she strives to illustrate the beauty and wonders of the sea, hoping it will inspire others to conserve and preserve our ocean environment. Fascinated by it all, she enjoys the challenges of photographing wideangle reefs and wrecks, as well as the tiniest animals in the sea. Beth is a international multi-award winning photographer. Mr. Tim Ho, Malaysia

In 2009 Tim purchased his 1st underwater compact camera, the game of upgrading was too expensive and beyond the means of an island based dive instructor, so Tim started to explore and develop his own comprehension of how his little camera worked. Now his methods and compact camera techniques are some of today's reference materials used and shared by underwater photography trainers when teaching about compact camera use, while some of his earlier works are still often used as benchmarks of what to strive to achieve when shooting with a compact camera.
Mr. Kenji Cheow, Malaysia
Underwater Photographer/Dive Master

Known as the "Crazy Malaysian" among his friends and started diving in the Philippines since 2011. He got certified as a PADI Dive master in 2015 but has based himself on a quiet beach called Juara on the east side of Tioman Island, Malaysia since 2014. Partnering with the Amigo Dive Center, he has explored and discovered new dive sites with his fellow colleagues due to their passion in underwater macro critters and underwater macro photography.
Mr. Zulkarnain Ng, Singapore

Former Art Director with several design house and international advertising company Zul is also the founder of BLANCommunication & StudioZEROillus. This is where he continue practice his creative as a Art Director, photographer and fine art artist which he handle from artwork to visual communication media as part of his daily routine a combination which give him a perfect gel between creativity and beauty of nature. In 2005 he found this technique call Luminance and he continue practicing till today.
Ms. Lilian Koh, Singapore

Lilian Koh started diving in 2000 after a close encounter while snorkeling with manta rays. She continued to explore the wonders of the ocean after her certification and her passion for scuba diving deepened when she took up underwater photography. Lilian feels that the Ocean reveals its secrets, a little at a time, constantly luring you back, wanting more. She is fascinated by small critters, hence her love for macro photography. Mr. Stefano Scortegagna, Italy
Underwater Photographer/Conservationist

Stefano’s passion for underwater photography was created sixteen years ago on his first venture into the water. He was fascinated by the brilliant colours and diverse marine life in this marvelous submerged world that opened up in front of him. With time, his enthusiasm for photography has grown tremendously. Six years ago, He initiated a project in several schools to teach children the importance to respect the environment and the ocean by sharing the photos taken during his many underwater adventures. He always strives to do better and try to explain to all that it is the responsibility of each person to, not only enjoy, but protect this incredibly valuable natural resource which is freely available to all of humanity. After a brief breaking-in period, he started to submit his photos in various photography competitions which he also received several awards and high regards from both locally in Italy and internationally.
Mr. Scott Gutsy Tuason, Philippines

Scott was first handed his underwater camera at the age of 16 though he started diving before he even hit puberty. Decades later he’s still a passionate photographer, and the element of doing things just at the edge characterizes how he gets his images. From throwing himself into a feeding frenzy or dangling off a line in open water at night, Gutsy as he is known thrives on the thrills. His photography has won awards, notably the Palme D’or at Antibes festival for his co-authored book Anilao in 2000, but the real gratification lies in sharing the marvels of the ocean and inspiring others to help preserve it. His latest Book 《Blackwater Open Blue》 won the Underwater Photography Book of the Year 2017 at the UPY event in London.

Marese Secades is an ocean lover, AIDA 4 Freediver, content creator and founder of Apnea Philippines where she teaches introduction classes and promotes safe and responsible Freediving.
Mr. Alex Tyrrell, UK

Alex Tyrrell is a professional underwater photographer based in Thailand, where he operates Dive4Photos, a dedicated underwater photography training facility. He is a freelance photo journalist writing articles and providing images for numerous dive magazines. He also runs regular photo workshops and tours to destinations around Asia.
Mr. Pipat Cat Kosumlaksamee, Thailand
Underwater Photographer

Born and raised in Bangkok. He has won several awards and has been involved in diving for over 25 years. His work is the result of diving journey to exotic locations which takes him to many exciting places around the world. He strives to capture the underwater realm in a way that will help create an awareness of the fragile marine environment….. thus began a love affair with photography. From 2015-2017 he became one of the judges of UWMP and Underwater competition events in Bangkok.
Ms. Ipah Uid, Malaysia

Ipah Uid became an underwater photographer after she left the Airlines in early 2000. A mother of six kids and a full time PADI Instructor she also owns her Dive center called Urban Island Divers in Pulau perhentian Malaysia. Her passion of the sea started when she overcame her fear of water . Wanting to learn more about photography she came up with her own sense of style pushing the limits to all compact camera and showing the best way to get amazing shots. Sharing knowledge about underwater photography is her main objective nowadays teaching new divers to appreciate life in the ocean to a whole new level.
Ms. Violet Ting, Taiwan/Malaysia
Underwater Photographer

Violet, in May 2015, joined “SNUPS” competition organized by the Philippines. One of the criteria during this competition was a zero editing shootout. She was awarded 1st place in Nudibranch portrait, 1st place in Macro and the Silver prize Photographer of the year. She then became the first Asian female for the #25 cover story of Europe online magazine Scubashooter and the interviewee of Malaysia China Post. For her, capturing moods and moments is a beautiful thing. Underwater photography is about feeling the mood of any given subject and transforming that moment into a visual art that connects with the viewers. This is her way in expressing visual photography.
